Unfortunately, most of the people in our society struggle with bloating. Some of the major reason which triggers bloating includes an increase in stress, poor diet, medication usage, and exposure to toxins. There are so many reasons which trigger bloating and usually affecting us in our daily lives.

A bloated stomach causes you to distress and embarrassment in front of people. Bloating is also very painful as the abdomen become full of gas can cause you to run towards the washroom urgently. This could also turn into a serious problem as it could be a sign of overgrowth of bacteria or yeast which could lead to a digestive disorder, cancer, allergies, and autoimmune dysfunction.

Gallbladder plays a vital role which triggers bloating as the enzymes released by the gallbladder are important for optimal digestion of fat. Whenever you can a fatty food it passes through the small intestine gallbladder then secretes bile to emulsify dietary fats which eventually creates fatty acids so that body can absorb fats easily. Gallbladders work as an absorbing power of fats, vitamins A, D, E, and, K. It also helps toxins to secrete out of the body and is responsible for blood sugar metabolism.

In order to know if the gallbladder is the issue what causes bloating then following reasons are to be considered:

  • Headaches and migraines
  • Evidence of bacterial or parasitic overgrowth in the small intestines
  • Pain in feet or the iliotibial (IT) band
  • Chronic pain in the right shoulder or near the right shoulder blade

Here are two types are bacteria in our bodies both beneficial and harmful which are good and bad for our health. These are also present in our small intestine but certain harmful bacteria overgrowth can result in intestinal damage. This is also known as SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). Therefore, this could also be the reason for your bloating stomach which is due to SIBO. The presence of excess microorganisms in the small intestines produces methane gas and sulfur resulting in bloating and a variety of other digestive disturbances such as food intolerance, diarrhea, cramping and fat malabsorption.


If your bloating occurs along with cognitive impairment, fatigue, sugar cravings, mood swings, or other related problems for which your bloat may be a symptom of overgrowth.


If you have food sensitivity or intolerance the first sign you will notice from this could be probably the first sign of the result is bloating. You have to determine the foods which are sensitive to your body. The major food allergies could be from dairy, wheat, eggs, corn, gluten, seafood, or peanuts. Food sensitivity can result in is compromised in the digestive tract, eating these foods can contribute to inflammation in the gut and other autoimmune responses such as skin rashes weakened immunity and autoimmune disease.


A bloating can also be caused due to low stomach acid levels which may be triggering you digestive upset.
