Depression is known as the major depressive disorder which a common yet a serious medical illness. It negatively affects millions of people such as how you feel, the way you think, and the way you act but the best part is that it is curable and treatable.

Depression is a deadly illness, therefore, first understand what is depression? It’s a feeling of sadness, loss of interest in certain activities which you used to enjoy before. Depression can lead to various emotional and physical problems such as a decrease in person’s ability to function at work and home. It includes intense sadness that is feeling helpless, worthless, and hopeless which usually lasts many days to weeks and is something more than sadness.

The most important thing is that people don’t even know that they are suffering from depression which is even worse. Therefore, there should be certain symptoms you should know which are signs of depression. You must not ignore following signs of depression and for this, you first need to know that what depression is.

Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include:

1-SLEEP DIFFICULTIES

In today’s era, many of young generation have been facing problems in sleeping. They usually went through insomnia could be a symptom of depression. Some people who have depression often sleep too much but some may face insomnia. People with depression usually have issues with sleeping, stay sleep, or despite fee. After sleeping late at night you usually could not wake up early in the morning and eventually could not function properly.

2-ACHES AND PAINS

Your body and your mindshare a powerful link therefore if you are struggling with mental health issues there is a possibility to experience physical problems. Aches, back pain, sore muscles, and is one of the signs of depression.

3-IRRITABILITY

People usually think that depression can lead to overwhelming sadness. But the fact is that people can also experience anger and irritability rather than hopelessness and misery. If you are experiencing increased irritability and anger then don’t ignore it. Don’t blame your busy schedule or workload always consider this fact that it could be a possible reason for depression.

4-DECREASED ENERGY

Changing in energy level in your body can be a sign of depression or depression which can zap your energy causing you to feel lethargic and tired all the time. Many people don’t consider this point thinking they might have slept late or had too much workload, or busy schedule which is the reason for my low energy level. This ignorance would not be a good sign for your health in long run hence be considerate about your energy level. If it takes you a long time to complete a small task then the reason could be depression.

5-FEELING OF GUILT

If you are blaming yourself unnecessarily for certain events in your life then it’s not a good sign. Therefore, if you are feeling guilty about everything you did and feeling of guilt is there then it could be one of the reasons for depression.
