Swiping right or left is the new standard these days and it appears you’re cooler in case you’re on a dating application than in case you’re entirely in a relationship. Everybody is involved in using these dating apps starting from your cousins to your awkward boss. Well, hold on for a moment! was that Zac Efron?! No doubt you saw it right, even the celebs are grinding away towards the app. From Zac to Katy Perry to Demi Lovato to Ed Sheeran, an entire heap of celebrity appearances has been using these apps. The motive of using these apps are quite different as some are just trying to have fun while others are desperate to find someone.
Therefore, it’s not something new for them (in case if you think that they are not up to it) well they are also humans and it is quite possible for them to use these apps.
So, here are some celebs you might just innocently stumble or come across on your favorite dating apps.
Katy Perry Katy admitted she had used dating app Tinder back when she was hooking up with Orlando Bloom. Although there’s nothing to suggest she was using it while dating him, of course.
During a Tinder interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club at the time, she said: ‘Uh, yes I am, hello. I’m really deep on so I don’t have a whole lot of time.’
However, she later told Harper’s Bazaar that she was just joking about being on Tinder, saying: ‘I’m not really on the street. It’s usually just through friends of friends. ‘We have a lot of dinner parties. I’m definitely not on Tinder, even though I joke about it. Sometimes I feel like a sense of humor does not translate into print.’ Hmm, we don’t know what to think about that.
Poor old Zac Efron didn’t get a lot of love when he joined Tinder because of everyone thought it was a fake account. Last year he admitted: ‘Amazingly when I signed up for Tinder, nobody swiped me! They thought [my profile] was fake.’
Demi Lovato is just like us: She, too, deals with the high and jaw-dropping lows of online dating.
In her new YouTube documentary, “Simply Complicated,” the former Disney Channel star opens up about using Raya, an exclusive dating app that features celebrities, athletes and other high-powered singles.
Lovato ended her six-year relationship with former “That 70’s Show” star Wilmer Valderrama in June 2016 and was recently spotted getting close to DJ/producer Lauren Abedini.
Though Lovato admits she’ll “never love anybody like [she] loved Wilmer,” she was actively looking on Raya while the doc was being filmed.
“I am on the dating app with both guys and girls,” says Lovato, who’s caused a bit of a stir in the past for not speaking up about her sexuality. “I am open to human connection, so whether that’s a male or a female, it doesn’t matter to me.”
According to the reports in 2016, Joe was spotted on the elite dating app, Raya. Of course, he’s probably off of it now considering he just proposed to Sophie Turner. The pair has been dating publicly since Thanksgiving last year so it’s safe to say – we hope – Joe hasn’t been active in the app for a while. However, that didn’t mean he wasn’t curious at one point.
The A Team hitmaker was invited to join the online dating world, but declined because he found it “creepy.”
He tells radio show Total Access, “I haven’t got time to go on dates.
“(The verified account is) so people know it’s you, I guess, but it just sounds quite creepy doing that, because then you’re just using your celebrity status to hook up with chicks.”
“Real talk: I’ve never done online dating before, but just for shi*ts and giggles, Malika and I decided to fill one out,” Khloe wrote on her blog, KhloeWithAK.com. She continued, “It was actually really fun to do, LOL! Get to swiping right, boo-boo!”
The former Gossip Girl actor doesn’t seem like a man who would need any online help to find a mate, but back in 2010, Crawford was ready to try anything to find a girlfriend. “I have a bunch of different accounts that no one even knows about,” Crawford told the UK’s Now magazine after revealing he’d talked to a friend about possibly joining a speed-dating event.
