Women and heels are the best combos ever and they share a love-hate relationship for many reasons. Women love to wear heels but equally, they don’t feel comfortable wearing it, there are stilettos elongate your legs and accentuate your shapely claves but at the same time, they are killer for your feet. But have you ever imagined an evening spent in heels didn’t have to end in blisters and swelling? Now you can wear heels that are more comfortable than flats what heaven right?
We asked podiatrists to explain their top tips for choosing an appropriate heel for you. According to a New York Based podiatrist, Hillary Brenner “My philosophy is that wearing shoes is like dieting,” He further said “When we diet, we count calories. When we wear shoes, we count the hours we wear them. Don’t wear heels for more than two hours at a time if you’re standing or walking in them.”
Another podiatrist named Howard Osterman says shoppers should look for shoes that provide cushioned forefoots and never go for the heels that exceed three inches. He further said “Focus on stiletto recovery after a day or night in heels,” He added, “Even the healthiest heels are still stressful to the foot and body, so recovery is one of the most important secrets to being able to wear heels pain-free.”
